"LAGNIAPPE"
A Cajun expression for "A little something extra"
In my opinion, these are some of the best links on the Web. You choose for yourself. I enjoyed them very much and I hope you do too !!! Think of them as that "Little something extra". You'all come by when you can, because I'll be updating this page often.
Warmest regards, Chef John

I'm often asked to refer many of my visitors to a site where they can order authentic Creole and Cajun products through the mail. A TASTE OF BAYOU COUNTRY has everything you've been looking for. Mark Fryou and his family have put together a wonderful catalogue of products that can be ordered from the convenience of your home at very reasonable prices. All of your favorite brands are here as well as some difficult to find items. They have links to many great Creole and Cajun sites as well. Be sure and visit them for your favorite products.

Definitely one of my favorite sites on the Web. Martha Jones "aka" Queen CAN-ivore has a no nonsense approach to dilemas we have all faced at one time or another. This site is a must see for the "culinary challenged" or anyone who does not want to spend alot of time in the kitchen. Although written in a humorous vein, it contains a lot of useful information and quick alternatives. Be sure and navigate around the site and check out all this lady has to say. This site is very special. Vicki Phillips, known as "Kountry Cook", is a true pioneer of the Internet. Her cooking pages date back to the first computer networks. COOKIN' CAJUN/CREOLE STYLE WITH KOUNTRY COOK is a necessity for anyone wanting to learn about Cajun/Creole cookery. In addition to a wonderful collection of recipes, there is an extensive glossary defining Cajun terms and methods for the novice. There are numerous links to other Cajun/Creole resources. I know you'll want to visit this site often.
"BIG DADDY'S DINER" is rich in content and has a lot of wonderful recipes. The recipes are clear and easy to follow and the format is original, to say the least. Categorized into different establishments you can enter, each establishment or "Diner" contains recipes designed to be prepared in YOUR home, for YOUR family. Brad will guide you through sections like "The All American Buffet" or my favorite, "The Big Easy". His introductions are interesting, informative and very witty. If you can't tell by now, I really enjoyed this site and I know you will too.
This week's Hot Site was put together by a fellow Michigander and it's a very interesting site for anyone who loves to cook or collect recipes. It has many great features with a very homey format that kept my interest. For those of you familiar with the Olive Garden restaurant chain, Laura is employed there as a cook and features favorite recipes from the restaurants menu. I'm sure you'll enjoy visiting Laura as much as I did.
This site is a wonderful place to visit. It is hosted by the GeoCities community and is a Napa Valley Featured Page. For easy navigation, use the content page that they have designed to make your visit as enjoyable as possible. I enjoyed my visit immensly and I'm sure you will too!
